BOX 16
As I approached Pruis Hall I got a rush of butterflies in my stomach. I had been in this building many times before for class and Friday night movies, but this time it was different. Since the whole front room was made up of glass windows, I could see all of the people that we waiting in the lobby. As silly as it sounds, I expected all of them to glare at me when I walked through the double doors. I was a new comer, someone from a foreign land. As I entered the lobby, it sounded like a high school cafeteria. Everyone was standing in groups of five to ten people all discussing one thing or another. No one even seemed to notice me. I saw a group of girls that I knew, so I walked over to talk to them. They hadn't opened the doors yet, so the time of awkward small talk seemed never ending. As soon as I saw people making their way up the ramp into the large lecture hall, I followed. Walking in I was handed a black and white brochure that you would normally get when you visit the dentist office. It contained information about an upcoming even that they were putting on. My roommate and I walked to a seat, where another girl from our floor was. All of the lights were on and everyone seemed to be casually making their way to a seat, no one really in a rush. The stage had lots of cords on it. There was a stack of speakers on each side of the stage. A keyboard on the left front with drums in the middle back, and guitars on the right front. A microphone was in the middle front. Once the band started to play, it got really loud. Not rock concert loud, but loud enough that I couldn't hear myself sing. All together it was everything that I imagined, so I waiting to see if there is a surprise in store for when I go later this week.

I thought this description was really good because I pictured everything I read! It's funny that you talked about "awkward small talk" because that's one thing that everybody experiences, and everybody hates. I keep wanting to check out CRU but haven't gotten myself over there! What I would have liked you to talk more about is how many people were there-was it crowded or not? I always wonder that when I consider going.
