I did my first set of field notes over youtube videos that I found. One of the videos was from the CRU retreat that was held in the fall of '07. The second video was a mock PSA from students that are CRU members at Ball State. My third youtube video was a CNN report on CRU at a national level.
In my observations I found that everyone was supportive of CRU, no one had bad things to say about it. Everyone also was really joyful in the videos. There was a lot of group pictures and lots of smiling. Mainly girls were featured in the videos, I am not sure if this was because a girl is the person who produced it or if that is the main gender that attends CRU. Overall it seemed very welcoming and like it is an enjoyable time.

I hope you get to observe this group more and give a better view on the subject, but it sounds like this should be an enjoyable topic and be fun for you. Good luck with the rest of your project.
Sounds like a good organization that you are researching. I am interested to hear more about this culture since I really do not even know what the initials stand for, but it sounds like something interesting and very positive.
